The results from our latest SB Nation Reacts Survey are in and Lions fans believe Detroit’s Thanksgiving drought comes to an end this year!

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

In this week’s SB Nation Reacts surveys, we asked Lions fans two questions:

1. Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction? (weekly poll)
2. Will this be the year the Lions end their Thanksgiving win drought?

For the fourth consecutive week, 99% of Lions fans believe the team is headed in the right direction. This is the sixth time the Lions have hit the maximum mark, the most times amongst all the SB Nation fan bases.

It’s been seven years since the Lions claimed a victory on Thanksgiving, and with Detroit riding a nine-game winning streak, 86% of Lions fans believe this will be their year to end the drought. Additionally, another 73% of national fans believe the Lions will not only win but cover the 10.5-point spread, set by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook.

To be honest, while 86% is a clear majority, I’m a bit surprised it’s that low. Based on some explanations from the comment section of the original article, there are plenty of people worried about injuries. But as I noted in my “Keys to Victory” article, there are plenty of advantages the Lions have over the Bears, and I think they should be able to overcome any losses due to injury.

Let’s take a look at some of the explanations from the comment section, lightly edited for length and clarity:

  • Kdog060: “With all our injuries, especially at the CB position, this will be a close game.”
  • Hankfan232425: “Yeah, I think the Lions win, but -10.5? Decker not playing against the Bears defense has me worried. As great as Goff is, we need that starting O line intact.”
  • DanCampbellSoupBowl: “Spread could be -20.5 and I would still bet the Lions.”
  • Quinny the pooh: “I don’t need style points. I need to stack up enough W’s to win the division… 3-2, 37-36… All fine by me.”
  • TomRem: “A nice 50 burger would go well with my brined chicken and fixins.”
