Tua Tagovailoa throws four touchdown passes in 34-15 win over New England Patriots in Week 12.

The Miami Dolphins are currently riding a three-game win streak, and a large part of that has to do with the play of their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. Since his return from injured reserve, Miami’s QB1 has been playing at a high level, completing 76.5% of his passes for 1,277 yards and 11 touchdowns. But it was what Tagovailoa did on Sunday vs. his division rival, the New England Patriots, that earned him his third AFC Offensive Player of the Week award since being drafted in 2020.

In Week 12 vs. the Patriots, Tagovailoa completed 29 of 40 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns. He did not throw an interception, and most importantly, he led his team to a critical victory, bringing them one step closer to a .500 record and a fresh start as the team remains #InTheHunt down the season’s final stretch.

According to the Miami Dolphins’ official website, “Tagovailoa connected with eight different pass catchers against the Patriots to lead the Dolphins to their third-straight win in one of the best performances of his career. But don’t take their word for it; watch the video below!

Here’s a look at Tua Tagovailoa’s four-touchdown performance vs. the New England Patriots

Tagovailoa is the first Dolphins player to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week since running back Raheem Mostert won the award back in Week 6 of the 2023 season vs. the Carolina Panthers. Additionally, he is one of only three players in the league to earn the award over the last three seasons, joining Buffalo Bills‘ QB Josh Allen and Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk.

Tua currently leads the NFL in completion percentage (73.3%), but all that truly matters is whether he can squash the narratives on Thursday Night vs. the Green Bay Packers — something fans and critics have continued to question. When asked whether he was ready to squash those narratives, Tagovailoa replied:

Yeah, I mean I’m excited to kill narratives, so let’s go. Bring it on.

What are your thoughts on Tua Tagovailoa being named Offensive Player of the Week? Do you think Miami can kill the narratives and defeat the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night? What are you most thankful for this holiday season? Let us know in the comments section below!
