Steelers week.
The Cincinnati Bengals will host their AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with little room for error if they want to make the playoffs this season. The team was back on the practice field Wednesday ahead of the big showdown.
Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee/fibula) did participate in practice on a limited basis. Brown suffered the injury in an October 20th victory against the Cleveland Browns and has not played since. Brown participated in the early portion of position drills. The team will likely be cautious with him, but he could be set to return at the perfect time.
On the other side of the offensive line, right tackle Amarius Mims (ankle) was also limited.
Wide receiver Tee Higgins (rest) was on the rehab field, but Head Coach Zac Taylor said that was part of the plan to have him ready for Sunday. In his first game back from injury, he racked up 148 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. Higgins should suit up Sunday.
Logan Wilson (knee) was not on the practice field and wasn’t seen on Monday either. Wilson had previously been seen on the injury report with a quadricep injury of his own, but did not miss any game action. Now it appears he is dealing with a knee issue.
Defensive end Sam Hubbard (injury) was also back on the practice field after not being seen Monday. He was not listed on the injury report.
Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (illness) did not practice. He missed the Chargers game with an illness as well.
Kick returner Charlie Jones (groin) was back at practice. Jones could be back in the return game this week.
B.J. Hill got a rest day and Joe Bachie (hip) was limited as well. Hopefully, they’ll be fully healthy by Sunday.
For Pittsburgh, guard Issac Seumalo, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi all got rest days. Ogunjobi was listed as limited, though, so he participated some.
Pass rusher Alex Highsmith (ankle) did not practice, while defensive back Corey Trice Jr. (hamstring) and defensive tackle Montravius Adams (knee) both went full.
