“Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta…”
Now, I have no proof that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was bumping this immutable 1992 classic from the Geto Boys following Sunday’s complete and utter domination of AFC East division rivals, the New England Patriots, but if he was, who could blame him?
Since Tagovailoa’s return five weeks ago, Miami’s franchise quarterback leads the National Football League in quarterback rating while averaging over 250 yards passing, more than two touchdowns thrown per contest and completing 76.9% of his attempts. On Sunday, he dismantled New England’s secondary to the tune of 317 yards passing and four passing scores. Yeah, it sure does feel good…
Miami Dolphins Week Twelve MVP – Tua Tagovailoa
This decision wasn’t an easy one. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had his best game of the season — reeling in eight balls for 144 receiving yards and a touchdown. However, he has abandoned his patented penguin celebration following touchdowns this season, so I had to go with QB1 for this week’s Most Valuable ‘Phin award.
I’m only halfway kidding…
Tagovailoa is Miami’s unquestioned leader under center. It is a tale of two teams when he plays versus when he’s forced to miss time due to injury. The Dolphins are a completely different monster with their franchise signal caller leading the charge, and with Miami currently in the midst of a three-game winning-streak, Tagovailoa’s performances have been a major reason why.
Here’s to health and continued happiness for Tagovailoa and the rest of the Miami Dolphins, because if they’re happy, there’s a good chance we, as fans of the franchise that calls Hard Rock Stadium home, are happy as well.
