The Los Angeles Rams are 1-3 in primetime games this season after Sunday night’s defeat
The Los Angeles Rams lost to the Philadelphia Eagles by a final score of 37-20 on Sunday Night Football in Week 12 of the NFL season. Believe it or not LA had a lead at one point in this game, and despite the small size of the lead (LA at one point led by a score of 7-3) the Rams had an opportunity to shock the NFL and win this game.
They didn’t, and once again the Rams have blown an opportunity in primetime this year as LA falls back to a sub .500 record, and for now loses control of the NFC West.
Sean McVay’s offense moved the ball to start the game, but Kyren Williams fumbled on the opening drive in the redzone.

Credit should be given to the Rams and Williams who scored on their second offensive drive to respond to the early turnover and take the lead.

The Rams did score three touchdowns on the day, but their team looked outmatched by Nick Sirianni and the Eagles. Philly didn’t even have Devonta Smith in this game, but it didn’t seem to matter as Jalen Hurts, Saquan Barkley and A.J. Brown were more than enough for LA’s defense to handle.
Matthew Stafford did the best he could, but LA’s offensive line looked overwhelmed by the Eagles’ defense and Joshua Karty wound up missing a short field goal in the second half.
LA got beat in all three phases in this one. Let’s be frank, the Rams have some great players, but they aren’t a great team and their 5-6 record is exactly what they have earned. It’s exactly what they deserve.
What a throw. What a catch. Sheesh.

The Rams are now 1-3 this season when playing in a primetime slot. Even if LA makes the playoffs, how can they be counted on to win in the postseason? How can this team even be expected to play a full 60 minutes in any give week? Where is the complimentary football that McVay and the coaches constantly talk about?
LA’s season isn’t over, but with each loss they look less ready and less likely to play in January.
The Rams get a chance to bounce back against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 as their season rolls on whether they are ready or not.
