CLEVELAND BROWNS 24, PITTSBURGH STEELERS 19
Browns QB Jameis Winston
Winston was fantastic in the Browns’ win over the Steelers on Thursday Night Football, going 18-of-27 for 219 yards. He tallied a pair of big-time throws and earned an 83.9 PFF passing grade — his best since Week 4 of the 2021 season.
Tennessee Titans 32, Houston Texans 27
Titans QB Will Levis
The Will Levis experience was on full display in the Titans’ win over the Texans, showcasing his ability to deliver big throws alongside a costly mistake. Levis completed 18 of 24 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
The interception was particularly damaging, as Texans defensive back Jimmie Ward read Levis’ eyes the entire way, picking off the pass and returning it for a touchdown. That throw earned one of the lowest grades possible in the PFF system, dragging Levis’ overall grade for the game down to 63.6.
Miami Dolphins 34, New England Patriots 15
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle
Waddle started the season strong with a standout performance in Week 1 against the Jaguars, catching five passes for 109 yards. However, he hadn’t surpassed 60 yards in a game since — until yesterday.
Against the Patriots, Waddle averaged 4.00 yards per route run while amassing 144 yards. Six of his eight receptions went for 15 or more yards.
Detroit Lions 24, Indianapolis Colts 6
Lions EDGE Za’Darius Smith
Smith continues to deliver the impact the Lions envisioned when they acquired him at the trade deadline. On 23 pass-rushing snaps yesterday, he tallied a quarterback hit and four hurries, earning an impressive 81.6 PFF pass-rush grade for the game.
Minnesota Vikings 30, Chicago Bears 27
Bears QB Caleb Williams
It came in another losing effort, but there were plenty of encouraging signs from the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams completed 32 of 47 passes for 340 yards and recorded five big-time throws — the most in a single game of his young career so far.
Kansas City Chiefs 30, Carolina Panthers 27
Panthers QB Bryce Young
The Panthers lost to the Chiefs on Sunday, but the story coming out of the game is that, once again, Bryce Young looked like an NFL quarterback. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft went 21-of-35 for 263 yards, recording five big-time throws—two more than he’s ever had in a single game and matching his season total entering the contest.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30, New York Giants 7
Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield
Mayfield and the Buccaneers were unstoppable on Sunday, cruising past the New York Giants on the road. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft put on a clinic, completing 24 of his 30 passes for 294 yards and recording two big-time throws. His performance earned an impressive 91.0 PFF passing grade on the day.
Dallas Cowboys 34, Washington Commanders 26
Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis
Lewis was targeted four times from 42 coverage snaps on Sunday and did allow three receptions for 90 yards, including a touchdown. He also forced an incompletion in coverage and recorded three defensive stops, including on one play where he forced a fumble.
Denver Broncos 29, Las Vegas Raiders 19
Broncos QB Bo Nix
Nix’s strong stretch of play continued on Sunday, helping the Broncos to an AFC West win over the Raiders. He had one turnover-worthy play, breaking a streak after four straight games without one, but he also recorded a big-time throw and earned a 74.9 PFF passing grade in the game.
Seattle Seahawks 16, Arizona Cardinals 6
Seahawks HB Kenneth Walker III
Raw stats often fail to capture the full story of a running back’s performance, and this is one of those cases. Kenneth Walker averaged just 2.6 yards per carry in the Seahawks’ win over the Cardinals, but he averaged 2.9 yards after contact per carry and forced 10 missed tackles on 16 carries.
Walker’s impact extended to the passing game, where he forced six missed tackles on just three receptions. He finished the game with an astounding 16 missed tackles forced on 19 total touches.
Green Bay Packers 38, San Francisco 49ers 10
Packers HB Josh Jacobs
Jacobs was the focal point of the Packers’ offense in their win over the 49ers, carrying the ball 26 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Impressively, 3.2 of his 4.1 yards per carry came after contact, and he forced an incredible 12 missed tackles on rushing attempts.
Philadelphia Eagles 37, Los Angeles Rams 20
Eagles HB Saquon Barkley
With a performance that catapulted him into the MVP conversation, Saquon Barkley dominated on Sunday Night Football. He turned 26 carries into 255 yards, including two long touchdown runs.
Barkley was just as effective as a receiver, averaging 2.76 yards per route run. His all-around impact earned him an impressive 87.9 PFF grade for the game.
