Struggling offense would take another hit if the line has to be shuffled again
The New York Giants, already making due on their offensive line after the season-ending loss of Andrew Thomas to a Lisfranc injury, could be without both current starting tackles on Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Both left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad) and right tackle Evan Neal (hip) were listed as ‘did not practice’ on Monday as the Giants held a walk through in preparation for their Thanksgiving Day game.
Eluemunor left Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after just four plays. He was replaced at left tackle by Chris Hubbard.
Neal played the entire game, but showed up on the injury report Monday afternoon.
If neither player is able to play, the Giants would likely use Hubbard at one tackle and Joshua Ezeudu at the other. The team re-signed swing tackle Tyre Phillips to the practice squad last week, but 11 months after surgery for a torn quad his readiness to play in an NFL game is unknown.
Edge defender Azeez Ojulari (toe) and defensive tackle Armon Watts (shoulder) were also listed as ‘did not practice.’
Quarterback Tommy DeVito, who took some hard hits near the end of Sunday’s game, was not listed on the injury report.
