The Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots have released their respective inactive players lists for their Week 12 AFC East showdown.
The Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots are closing in on the kickoff of their Week 12 AFC East grudge match. The Dolphins beat the Patriots in New England in Week 5 and now welcome their rivals into Miami for the second half of the season series. The Dolphins come into the game in decent shape, health-wise, and they got some good news on Sunday as the teams released their inactive players lists for the game.
Both tackle Terron Armstead and fullback Alec Ingold were listed as questionable on the Miami’s final injury report, but both players remained active for the game. Armstead’s presence at left tackle has a huge stabilizing effect on the entire offensive line and Miami needs the line to play well to extend their back-to-back wins into a three-game winning streak. Ingold missed the last two games as he has been dealing with a calf injury, but he will now be back on the field, assisting in pass protection and serving as the lead blocker in the running game.
Not available for Miami are running back Jeff Wilson, Jr., cornerback Ethan Bonner, cornerback Kendall Fuller, linebacker Mohamed Kamara, offensive lineman Andrew Meyer, tight end Jack Stoll, and wide receiver Dee Eskridge. Fuller is still working his way back from a concussion, his second head injury of the season.
The Patriots listed 10 players on their final injury report, with two of them landing on the inactive list. Defenisve tackle Jaquelin Roy was ruled out with a neck injury while defensive end Deatrich Wise was questionable with a foot issue.
The rest of the New England inactive list includes defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (neck), wide receiver KJ Osborn, guard Tyrese Robinson, defensive end Titus Leo, and quarterback Joe Milton. Milton is listed as the team’s emergency quarterback, allowing him to dress for the game in case starter Drake Maye and backup Jacobny Brissett are both injured during the contest.
The Patriots’ defense received good news: Defensive tackle Christian Barmore (not injury-related), safety Kyle Duggar (ankle), and cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hip) are all available. Gonzalez is expected to matchup with Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill in a one-on-one matchup throughout the game.
Kickoff on Sunday is set for 1 p.m. Eastern from Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium.
