The good guys are now ahead
Both teams are heading into the locker rooms for halftime in Chicago, and your Minnesota Vikings have taken the lead over the Chicago Bears by a score of 14-10.
The Vikings had the ball at the Chicago 2-yard line when the quarter started, and on the first snap of the quarter Sam Darnold found the guy that got the Vikings in that position, as he connected with Jordan Addison for a 2-yard score to even things up at 7-7.

The touchdown was also the 20th touchdown pass of the year for Sam Darnold, which is a career high for him.
The Bears got the ball back and marched into Minnesota territory, but the drive stalled at the Minnesota 30 after a pass to Keenan Allen that was originally ruled a catch was overturned on a challenge. The Bears brought Cairo Santos on for a 48-yard field goal attempt, and the kick was blocked by Jerry Tillery and recovered by Brian Asamoah!

On the ensuing drive, Sam Darnold was intercepted in the end zone by Jonathan Owens but Jaylon Johnson was called for pass interference to move the ball to the Chicago 6-yard line. Two plays later, Darnold had his second touchdown pass of the day, connecting with Jalen Nailor for a 5-yard score to make it 14-7.

Chicago went three-and-out on their next possession and started things at their own 27-yard line. The Vikings then had a three-and-out of their own and put Chicago back at their own 20. Chicago put together a solid two-minute drive, and Santos connected on a 49-yard field goal as time expired to make it 14-10 at the half.
The Vikings will get the football to start the second half after deferring on the opening coin toss. Come hang out with us for the third quarter from Chicago, folks!
