Making sure you can find all the action
Good game day morning, everyone! We’re just hours away from finding out whether or not the Minnesota Vikings can extend their winning streak to four, including three straight on the road, as they face the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. We want to make sure that everyone can keep up with the action on whatever platform they want to use, so we’re putting all of that information in one place here for you.
Television Info
The Vikings are once again kicking things off at the optimal time for NFL action, that being noon Central time on Sunday afternoon. This game will be carried on the FOX family of networks, including KMSP-9 in the Twin Cities, with Kevin Kugler and Daryl Johnston on the call. Here is the broadcast map for this week, courtesy of the folks from 506 Sports, with the Vikings/Bears game represented by the blue area.
If you are outside of the broadcast area, you’ll be looking at YouTube TV NFL Sunday Ticket for this one.
For our men and women serving in uniform overseas, the American Forces Network will be showing this one LIVE on AFN Prime Atlantic. Kickoff is slated for 1800Z, which translates to 1900L for viewers in Central Europe, 2100L for everyone on Arabian Time, and 0300L on Monday morning for fans in Japan and Korea.
Radio Info
If you have a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area, most of them will probably be carrying the game. We’ve provided you with the full list of affiliates for this season, so use our page to find the affiliate nearest to you.
Those of you who will use satellite radio to listen to this one can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 381. You can listen to the Titans’ feed on Channel 226 if you feel so compelled. If you use the SiriusXM app, the Vikings’ permanent home is on Channel 820.
Referee Info
According to the folks from Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this weekend’s contest will be headed up by Clay Martin. This will be the second time this season that the Vikings see Martin’s crew, and hopefully it goes better than the first time. . .Martin’s crew handled the Vikings’ 31-29 loss to Detroit back in Week 6.
Weather Info
It’s another game outdoors for the Vikings, and it looks like it should be a pretty solid day weather-wise according to our friends at WeatherNation. There’s supposed to be precipitation in the Chicago area during the overnight hours, but by the time things kick off at Soldier Field temperatures will be into the upper 40s with winds coming out of the southeast at around ten miles/hour.
Betting Info
According to the gang at FanDuel, the line for this one hasn’t changed. The Vikings were 3.5-point favorites to start the week, and that’s where they currently sit. The over/under is also unchanged, still sitting at 39.5 points.
Streaming Info
If your local affiliate is not carrying the game, remember that the Sunday Ticket package now rests with YouTube TV. If you’re in the local area and have cut the cord, you should be able to find it on a service such as Fubo TV or Sling TV.
I’ll say the same thing about illegal streams that I always say: don’t. Or damn sure don’t go advertising them here. You’ll be banned and that will be the end of it.
Post-Game Info
As is usually the case, we will be back with a LIVE post-game show after this one from Vikings Report with Drew and Ted. We’ll have a separate post for the game, or you can head over to the Vikings Report YouTube page and catch the show there.
That should be everything you need in order to follow along with all of the action of today’s NFC North battle between your Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. As always, we’ll have Open Threads for each quarter, with the first one dropping approximately half an hour before kickoff.
