Injury designations ahead of Sunday’s game
The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears issued their final injury reports ahead of their matchup on Sunday. Here they are:
Chicago Bears
Keenan Allen was an addition to the Bears injury report with an ankle injury. Apparently he turned his ankle in Friday’s practice according to Bears head coach Matt Eberflus, who also said he’s hopefully he’ll play on Sunday. We probably won’t know for sure on Allen’s availability until 90 minutes before game time. He would be a significant loss for the Bears.
Elijah Hicks didn’t practice again on Friday and is out for Sunday’s game. Jonathan Owens is likely to replace him. He hasn’t played much for the Bears this season but started for the Packers last season with average PFF grades.
D’Andre Swift is listed as questionable, but his being a full participant in Friday’s practice makes it more likely he’ll play on Sunday.
Kiran Amegadjie is a backup offensive lineman and listed as questionable. But as a backup less impact either way if he’s able to go for the Bears. Ryan Bates is also a backup so while his being out limits the Bears’ depth, unlikely to have a big impact on the game either.

Josh Oliver remained out of practice on Friday and having missed every practice this week, it’s not surprising that he’s out for the game in Chicago. Hopefully his ankle will have healed and he’ll be ready to go next week.
Gabe Murphy and Nick Muse are both listed as questionable, and are in their 21-day window to come back from IR. Muphy’s window is almost closed, so he seems more likely to be activated with a corresponding roster move. Muse could also be activated, especially with Josh Oliver out, but we’ll have to wait and see on both.
Other than that, no other injury designations for the Vikings.
