Week 12 will kick off with a game between AFC North rivals as the Cleveland Browns host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.

These are two teams headed in opposite directions, as the Steelers have taken control of the division with an 8-2 record behind Russell Wilson and a fantastic defense.

The Browns, meanwhile, are 2-8 on the season, and are coming off of a bad 35-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints. They’re also a team searching for long term answers at the quarterback position as they grapple with expensive bust DeShaun Watson’s ruptured Achilles and fully guaranteed contract. Backup Jameis Winston did throw for 395 yards against the Saints (142 to Jerry Jeudy), which could be a positive sign for the future.

But will that be enough to upset Pittsburgh? The Steelers are favored by 3.5 points per FanDuel sports book.

Chris’ pick: The Steelers.

Moving from DeShaun Watson to Jameis Winston might be addition by subtraction, and that could make this game interesting. However, the Steelers have been rolling since making the change from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson and they weren’t exactly slouches before.

Wilson is playing at a high level and has a good rapport with George Pickens, Van Jefferson, and Pat Freiermouth, not to mention what Najee Harris can do on the ground. And as good as Jerry Jeudy can be, the Steelers should be able to deal with him on defense.

This could wind up being a good game, and the Giants are probably hoping the Browns pull off the upset. But I can’t not pick the Steelers and I suspect they’ll win by more than the 3.5 points by which they’re favored.
