On Sunday, Kansas City is on the road to play its Week 12 game in Carolina.

Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. This week, Kansas City goes back on the road to play the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. Kickoff will be at noon (Arrowhead Time) on Sunday.

Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week:

Chiefs

Some notes

  • All eyes are on two potential returns for the Chiefs this week: running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle) and defensive end Charles Omenihu (knee). Both players were limited to begin the practice week, as they were all of last week heading into the matchup with the Buffalo Bills. Both remain on one of the team’s reserve lists.
  • Kansas City listed four more players — running back Kareem Hunt (knee), wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), safety Bryan Cook (rib) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (thumb) — on their report, but they were listed as full participants.
  • Hunt and Smith-Schuster continue to receive treatment from lingering issues, while the injuries to Cook and Conner appear to stem from the team’s game against the Bills.
  • The Panthers listed four players out of practice, which included running back Miles Sanders (ankle), left guard Damien Lewis (illness) and outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee). The Panthers expect Lewis back to practice on Thursday. Clowney’s status is one to watch.
  • The six Panthers limited on Wednesday are worth watching, as well. Wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) has been cleared to play after being out of action for the last seven games. The Panthers only opened up the practice window for linebacker Amare Barno (knee) on Wednesday, so it might be a stretch for him to return on Sunday.
  • It appears that rookie running back Jonathon Brooks (knee), who was a full participant, is trending in the right direction to make his NFL debut against the Chiefs on Sunday.
