Anthony Richardson, you won’t like him when he’s angry…
NFL Network’s ‘Good Morning Football’s’ Kyle Brandt awarded Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Anthony Richardson the illustrious ‘Angry Runs scepter’ following his early 2nd and goal, 2-yard ‘quarterback keeper’ touchdown run when he simply ‘hit the truck stick’ to enter pay dirt against a poor New York Jets defensive back standing in his way:

Richardson beat out the other nominees including the Buffalo Bills James Cook, the Green Bay Packers Josh Jacobs, and the Buffalo Bills Josh Allen to win this week’s ‘Angry Runs.’
Brandt awards the scepter to the NFL ballcarrier who demonstrates the ‘most powerful and aggressive run of the week’—which it’s easy to see why Richardson just took home such honors.
His Colts teammate, tight end Mo Alie-Cox, commented post-game that after Jets safety Jalen Mills was steamrolled by Richardson, while attempting to stop the one-man freight train, “It looked like dude got hit by the Holy Ghost the way he went backwards.”
To their credit, Colts head coach Shane Steichen and his coaching staff ‘got back to the basics’ regarding an offensive scheme and playbook that the reinstated Richardson appeared much more comfortable in—by maximizing his dual-threat ability with his legs and playing to his strengths.
Richardson had 10 carries for 32 total rushing yards (3.2 ypc. avg) and 2 rushing touchdowns during his past Sunday’s heroics—among them that ‘very angry’ scoring run. The Colts deployed him a lot more like Cam Newton or Josh Allen, and it paid dividends with a big road victory.
