Random Ramsdom: Is this now the Beaux Limmer era?

Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 11/19/24

Beaux Limmer was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round of the latest NFL Draft. Did LA know at the time that Limmer would be their best option to start at center? I don’t think they did, and LA even tried something different in Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins (you can read more about who replaced Limmer in that game here) as they let Limmer observe on the sideline. Well in Week 11 Beaux was back on the field and he made a case that he should stay on it.

Is Limmer the long-term answer as center for LA? I don’t know, but is he the answer at least for this season? I’d say to this point he is either the actual answer or the best option, so it sure seems like the center position is his to lose as the Rams continue marching forward into December and beyond.

Please comment on whatever you want, let us know what you think about Limmer or any of the Rams and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!

With Beaux Limmer back, LA Rams offensive line marks another impressive feat (rambinfan)

“It was simple. The veteran hurler had a center whose snap of the football resulted in a predictable and consistent snap of the football. He was able to anticipate the timing of the snap, his receivers, and the offensive line. And most of all, he was well protected in the pocket. Who was responsible for keeping defenders away from Stafford?

LT – Alaric Jackson

LG – Steve Avila

C – Beaux Limmer

RG – Kevin Dotson

RT – Warren McClendon

That’s pretty impressive. And it’s even more impressive when you consider that this iteration of the offensive line did so on their first occasion to start together as a group. 70 offensive snaps. 0 quarterback sacks allowed.”

Rams Week 11 snap counts: Blake Corum’s role grows, backup WRs not involved (theramswire)

“The Los Angeles Rams seem to be settling into a groove on both sides of the ball when it comes to their personnel groupings. On Sunday against the Patriots, the Rams leaned on their top starters offensively, giving their backup receivers very few opportunities. Blake Corum did see a season-high snap share of 19%, though, and all three tight ends were involved, too.

On defense, Chris Shula has utilized dime packages a ton, giving his four safeties plenty of playing time on the back end as he mixes and matches personnel with the offense.”

Eagles-Rams Week 12 odds preview: Birds are favorites to take seventh straight out in LA (phillyvoice)

“Still, the Eagles are playing like a powerhouse. They beat the Cowboys and then the Commanders back-to-back to take a clear hold of the NFC East, Saquon Barkley has easily been the best running back in the conference, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith can make a game-breaking play at any second, Zack Baun has been a breakout star at linebacker, and rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have transformed the secondary into a lockdown unit, all while Jalen Hurts has taken increasingly better care of the football.”
