Week 11 concludes with the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys battling it out on “Monday Night Football.” Come chat with us in our open thread.
To close out Week 11, the Houston Texans (6-4) will make the four-hour trip north to Arlington, Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys (3-6) on “Monday Night Football.” Despite being just 256 miles apart, these two teams have only faced off six times in their histories with the Texans winning the first two and the Cowboys winning the most recent four.
The Texans are coming off a heartbreaking 26-23 loss to the Detroit Lions, where they took a 16-point lead into halftime and failed to score in the second half, ultimately losing on a walk-off field goal. The Texans’ defense is solid, while their offense showed some signs of life, and the return of Nico Collins should give them a boost.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys took an even more brutal defeat at the hands of the Lions, losing 47-9 at home in a soul-snatching game. The beating was so bad, that the Cowboys dropped their next three, and are looking like a shell of what they thought they could be at the beginning of the season. Their offense is without starting quarterback Dak Prescott (on injured reserve), their defense is shedding points, allowing 28.8 per game, second worst in the NFL, and their owner Jerry Jones is constantly being haunted by the Lions proving him wrong.
Betting line and pick for the game
The folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook are favoring Houston in this game with the betting line being set at Texans -7.5 points. Look, the Cowboys are terrible and this spread could be double what it is and I’d probably still strongly consider sticking with the Texans.
Prediction: Texans 27-13
