The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a self-imposed Monday night loss
The Los Angeles Rams (4-5) travel to Gillette Stadium for a matchup against the New England Patriots (3-7) in Week 11 of the NFL Season. This should be a bounce back game for the Rams who in theory have a more complete roster than New England. Of course, the best teams do not always win on Sunday. It is which team plays the best in a 60-minute window.
The Patriots are on a two-game win streak and may have found their future with rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Maye is an exciting young QB who has a strong arm and can run. What’s not to love about him if you are a New England fan?
The rest of New England’s roster with the exception of a few starters is more or less a work in progress as they try to retool and rebuild for future seasons to come.
The expectation for the Rams is they should be able to compete now. They have Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay to go along with plenty of starting caliber talent, and yet LA has been inconsistent. It’s unclear what this team is missing, but they certainly did not look like a playoff ready team in their Monday night loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Despite the semi self-imposed loss to the Dolphins last week, I am going to pick the Rams in this one simply due to my perception of LA having the more complete roster at this time.
Final Score: Rams 24, Patriots 10
Of course, it’s any given Sunday in this league and this may be an overreaction but if LA loses on Sunday, then I think many will question how “ready” this team really is, whereas if New England wins it would help them make a case that they are not as far behind as many may have thought going into this NFL campaign.
