The Eagles are back at the Linc for this ‘Thursday Night Football’ matchup against the Commanders!
The Philadelphia Eagles are now 7-2 heading into their NFC East matchup against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles are finally back at Lincoln Financial Field, and despite having a short week following Sunday’s win in Dallas, the team was able to rest some of their starters in the fourth quarter of that blowout victory. Still, with travel, the team didn’t get a lot of time for extra prep this week, and they’ll have a tough challenge against a finally-effective Washington team.
It’s been awhile since the Commanders were a game to look forward to on the schedule, but rookie QB Jayden Daniels has the offense looking more dynamic than ever — undoubtedly in no small part to former Eagles’ OC Brian Johnson —, plus he’s got one of the best veteran TEs in the league to look for in the redzone: Zach Ertz.
The Eagles defense will need to continue playing with the kind of energy you can feel through the TV, and keep winning the turnover battle as a result. Here’s hoping Philly’s team can extend their lead at the top of the NFC East, and notch another win in what is now officially a streak.
