Week 11 roster updates.
Here’s some Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders roster news ahead of their Week 11 Thursday Night Football game at Lincoln Financial Field.
C.J. Uzomah was temporarily elevated from the Eagles’ practice squad.
With the Eagles waiving Jack Stoll to open a roster spot for activating Jordan Mailata, they were left with just two tight ends on the roster: Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. Elevating Uzomah gives them a third.
Uzomah really struggled as both a blocker and pass-catcher during offseason practices, which led to the Eagles cutting him. But they later brought him back on the practice squad anyway.
Had the Eagles been able to re-sign Stoll to their practice squad, he probably would’ve been their choice as TE3 in this game. But the Miami Dolphins claimed him off waivers, leaving the Eagles with just Uzomah and E.J. Jenkins on the practice squad. And Jenkins is out of temporarily elevations after being bumped up three times (maximum limit) this season already.
Zane Gonzalez and Efe Obada were temporarily elevated from the Commanders’ practice squad.
Austin Seibert, the Commanders’ kicker, was ruled out of this game due to a right hip injury.
Gonzalez also filled in for Seibert last week. He made his two field goal attempts: one from 48 yards out and another from 41. Gonzalez made all three of his extra point attempts.
Gonzalez is 93/115 (80.9%) on career field goal attempts and 130/137 (94.9%) on extra point kicks. For perspective, Jake Elliott is at 85.7% and 96.1% in those categories, respectively.
Obada is a rotational pass rusher for the Commanders.
