This evening’s edition of Sunday Night Football features the traveling Detroit Lion and the hosting Houston Texans. The Lions enter week 10 with a 7 and 1 record and first place in the NFC North. Detriot is on a 6 game win streak including their intradivisional win last weekend over the Green Bay Packers, 24 to 14. The Texans have been more up and down that the Lions this season but still hold a 6 and 3 record and first place in the AFC South. The Texans are fresh off a loss to the New York Jets last weekend, 21 to 13.

—My Pick: The Lions to cover. The Lions are one of the best teams in the NFL right now and not much seems to be slowing them down at this point unless they suffer some key injuries. The Texans on the other hand have played well this season but it seems as of late if starting quarterback C.J. Stroud has entered his “sophomore slump”. I still expect Houston to do well the rest of the season, making the playoffs, but they will struggle a bit this evening against a clearly better team at this point in time in the Lions.
