Follow along with Week 10 game updates here.
The Philadelphia Eagles are down in Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Birds, favored by 7.5 points (same amount they were favored against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Philly last weekend) on the road, are going for their fifth straight win. And their first victory at AT&T Stadium since November 19, 2017.
If all goes according to plan, the Eagles will leave Week 10 with a 7-2 record. If the Eagles can’t manage to beat a Cowboys team starting Cooper Rush in placed of an injured Dak Prescott, well, that’ll be pretty concerning as they drop to 6-3.

FIRST QUARTER
- The Cowboys won the opening coin toss and elected to receive, a bit unusual with most teams preferring to defer. C.J. Gardner-Johnson absolutely lit up a Cowboys receiver after a short completion. Then Nolan Smith tackled CeeDee Lamb for a loss after a quick throw. Facing 3rd-and-8, Cooper Rush thought he had a free play (he didn’t since Josh Sweat get back onside) and Darius Slay knocked away his downfield throw. Three-and-out. Strong start for Vic Fangio’s defense, as expected.
- The Eagles took over at their own 30-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-2 after a Saquon Barkley run, Jalen Hurts had plenty of time in the pocket … before taking off running into wide open field for an easy first down into Cowboys territory. Ankle looked OK! Trevon Diggs got called for illegal contact on DeVonta Smith for another Eagles first down. Hurts held the ball and got sacked in the pocket to knock the offense back. Then Fred Johnson false started. Then Hurts got sacked by a blitzing DeMarvion Overshown, who Kenny Gainwell totally failed to pick up or even remotely hinder at all, to bring up third down. Facing 3rd-and-33, the Eagles went with a coward’s draw to Gainwell. 6 plays, 15 yards, punt. Needed to do better there against a bad Cowboys defense.
- The Cowboys took over at their own 20-yard line. Cooper Rush bobble the shotgun snap … and Milton Williams ripped it away from the QB on the ground for an Eagles recovery! Well, that was easy.

- The Eagles took over at the plus 17-yard line. A short Barkley run and a short completion to A.J. Brown brought up third down. Facing 3rd-and-6, Hurts dumped off to Barkley and Saquon made multiple Cowboys defenders miss to get to the 1-yard line. He’s kinda good! The Eagles then went Brotherly Shove for the game’s first score! Boom. EAGLES 7, COWBOYS 0.

He has a rush TD in 4 straight games, tying his longest streak in his career (Week 9-13 of 2023).@ESPNStatsInfo

- KaVontae Turpin had a big return to allow the Cowboys to take over from their own 41-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-2 after two runs, the Eagles defense was playing way soft to allow Lamb to easily catch a short pass for a first down. CJGJ missed a chance to pick off Rush with a bad ball thrown over the middle. Facing 3rd-and-4, Rush lofted it up and Jalen Brooks caught the ball but only managed to get one foot in with Quinyon Mitchell playing very sticky coverage on the Cowboys receiver. Ho-hum, just more excellent from the Eagles’ rookie cornerback. Dallas settled for a Brandon Aubrey 46-yard field goal make. EAGLES 7, COWBOYS 3.

- Johnny Wilson’s holding penalty on Will Shipley’s kick return forced the Eagles to take over at their own 23-yard line. Dallas Goedert made his first catch since Week 4 for a third first down. Hurts rolled left and then found a wide open A.J. Brown in the middle of the field for a gain to the plus 12-yard line to end the first quarter.
