The Thanksgiving halftime show performer for the 2024 Detroit Lions game has been announced.
On Sunday morning, the Detroit Lions announced that Shaboozey will be the halftime act for their 2024 Thanksgiving Day classic game—the 85th game of the Lions’ tradition.
Shaboozey doesn’t have any Detroit ties, but he is a six-time Grammy nominee. He sprung into the spotlight recently as a collaborator with Beyonce on her latest album “Cowboy Carter.” Shaboozey mixes hip-hop and country, and is likely most known for his hit single “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
The Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game is scheduled for Thursday, November 28 at 12:30 p.m. ET. They’ll be facing the Chicago Bears and it will be aired nationally on CBS.
Last year, Jack Harlow performed for the Lions halftime Thanksgiving show. Previous artists for the show include Bebe Rexha, Big Sean, Kid Rock, and Nickelback among many others.
The Lions have lost seven straight games on Thanksgiving. Their last win was a thrilling 16-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
