How Do Vikings Fans Grade the Cam Robinson Trade?

We’ve got your answers right here.

It’s time to bring you the results of our SB Nation Reacts questions for this week, courtesy of our friends at FanDuel. We had three different questions for you about our Minnesota Vikings for this week, and now it’s time to take a look at what everyone thinks.

Our first question, as it is every week, asks you if you think the Vikings are moving in the right direction. After a little bit of a dip in confidence following two straight losses, a win in prime time got things moving back in the right direction.

Of those who responded to our poll, a full 94% believe that the Vikings are moving in the right direction as a team. That’s a pretty significant leap from the 74% who responded in the affirmative last week. Hopefully that number will stay high over the course of the next few weeks here.

The second question for this week was to tell us what you thought of the Vikings’ trade for offensive tackle Cam Robinson in the wake of the Christian Darrisaw injury. We tried to get this question into last week’s poll, but news of the trade came down approximately ten minutes after we published so it was too late to do anything with it then. However, the reviews are in and they’re overwhelmingly positive.

A majority of our respondents graded the trade as an “A,” with 55% giving that as their answer. Another 41% see it as a “B” trade, so it appears that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and company did the right thing as far as purple fans are concerned.

Our last question is about Justin Jefferson, who when we posted the question was leading the NFL in receiving yardage (he has since been passed by Ja’Marr Chase, who has now played two more full games than Jefferson and leads him by 198 yards). We asked whether or not he has any chance of being the NFL MVP, and the results of this one actually surprised me a little bit.

Of those who responded to our poll, 51% feel that Jefferson could, potentially, be the Most Valuable Player in the National Football League, which means 49% agree that the award is basically only for quarterbacks the way things work now.

I’ve got to be honest, I answered this one in the negative. I think in order for a non-quarterback to win the MVP award, he has to have a season that’s so far above and beyond everyone else that it’s nearly impossible to do so. Even if they do have such a season, it’s not a lock. After all, when Adrian Peterson won the MVP Award back in 2012 he was less than 10 yards away from setting the single-season rushing record and still only garnered 60% of the MVP vote that year with Peyton Manning getting the other 40%. The bar is just so high for non-quarterbacks that I just don’t know if we’ll see a non-QB win the award again any time soon.

Those are the results of our SB Nation Reacts questions for this week, folks. As always, we thank all of you who participated in this week’s survey and we’ll be back with more questions for you next week.
