Another loss to the Patriots this season.
The Cincinnati Bengals need pass-rush help. Aside from Trey Hendrickson leading the NFL in sacks, the Bengals have virtually nobody else getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks this season.
Fans wanted to see the team make a trade for a pass rusher ahead of last week’s trade deadline, but the team was unable to strike a deal for help off the edge.
Recently, the New England Patriots landed pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue, after he was waved by the Baltimore Ravens. Many Bengals fans asked why the Bengals didn’t try to make a play for Ngakoue, but it turns out they did.
The Patriots were joined by one other team in attempting to claim Yannick Ngakoue: the Bengals.
New England had priority over Cincinnati, otherwise Ngakoue – who was waived just priority to the Ravens defeating the Bengals – would have stayed in the AFC North.

If not for New England having waiver wire priority over the Bengals, Ngakoue would have been in stripes. The Bengals and Patriots were the only two teams to put in a claim on him. So for now, the Bengals will stick with who they have on their roster and hope someone can make a difference.
Thanks a lot, Jerod Mayo…
