SuperBowl rematch as the undefeated Chiefs face off against an injured Bucs’ squad
We close out Week 9 of NFL football with what probably will not be a close matchup, as the Kansas City Chiefs (- 450) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Arrowhead. The home team unsurprisingly opens up as 9.5-point favourites, the largest spread this week, with the OU for total points set at 45.5. On a completely unrelated subject I am up 35 points on a half-PPR league and my opponent has Mahomes and Hunt left to the play, what would you say my odds are to win?
The Chiefs continued their undefeated season by beating the Raiders last week. Nothing they do is impressive per se, but they don’t have a glaring weakness and they show up every time it matters the most. Mahomes simply never costs his team games, and his floor is just so high that with the level of talent the Chiefs have at their disposal they will win much more often than they lose, and they just have not lost this season.
The Bucs were close to making an impressive comeback against the Falcons but ultimately fell short. Baker continues being one of the most entertaining quarterbacks to watch play, even missing Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Cade Otton has emerged as the #1 passing threat for the team after the injuries, and he looks really good right now.
Never bet against Tom Brady, never bet against LeBron James, and now, never bet against Patrick Mahomes. While the spread seems a bit generous, as the Chiefs’ games have been too close for comfort recently, the moneyline seems like easy money.
