The QB called the trade for the Bears RB “something we needed.”
The Cincinnati Bengals attempted to improve their team ahead of the trade deadline by adding a running back to spell Chase Brown, an absolute necessity following the injury to Zack Moss.
In a rare in-season trade, the front office acquired Khalil Herbert from the Chicago Bears.
Bengals fans are happy, and so is the man everyone wants to keep happy: quarterback Joe Burrow.
“It’s something that we needed, I think,” he said via Yanni Tragellis’ video below. “And I’m glad that we went out and tried to get better. I’ve watched Khalil in the past, and I think he will help us.”

Don’t be shocked if Burrow and head coach Zac Taylor look to get Herbert involved immediately, because the Bengals will need all the help they can get against the Baltimore Ravens and their outstanding offense.
We will preview that game tonight at 7:45 PM EST.
