Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 11/4/24

Despite Puka Nacua being ejected in the second quarter of Sunday’s game, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9 of the NFL season after Matthew Stafford found Demarcus Robinson for a walk-off touchdown in overtime. LA’s offense started the season slow, but has been putting up points in their last few games and Robinson may be settling into the receiver he and LA envisioned when he re-signed with the team this past offseason.

It was a thrilling win and it had to be reassuring for LA to lose Nacua, but see players like Robinson step-up (he’s had back-to-back strong games for the Rams) and help the team find a way to come away victorious.

Happy victory Monday Rams’ fans, please comment on whatever you’d like and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!

“That’s what the Rams did on Sunday, winning their third game in a row with a 26-20 overtime victory over the Seahawks before 68,632 at Lumen Field.

Unlike in their season–opening defeat at Detroit, the Rams defense stopped an opponent from scoring a touchdown in the first possession of overtime. Quarterback Matthew Stafford capitalized, throwing a 39-yard touchdown pass to receiver Demarcus Robinson for a victory that improved the Rams record to 4-4.”

NFL Week 9 grades: Cowboys get ugly mark for loss to Falcons; Ravens earn ‘A+’ for blowout win over Broncos (cbssports)

“This was an old-fashioned heavyweight fight and the Rams didn’t land the knockout punch until overtime, when Matthew Stafford connected with Demarcus Robinson for a game-winning 39-yard TD. It was an improbable ending for a Rams offense that only put up 28 yards in the fourth quarter. The Rams were only in a position to win because of a titanic performance from their defense that came up with three interceptions. The big one came from Kamren Kinchens, who ended up pulling off the longest play of the year in the NFL with a 103-yard pick six. That was one of the many highlights that came from a defense that sacked Geno Smith seven times. Two weeks ago, it looked like the Rams might be sellers at the trade deadline, but after this win, they’re only a half-game out of first place in the NFC West and they look like a legitimate threat to win the division.”

NFL Week 9 Recap: Los Angeles Rams 26, Seattle Seahawks 20 (pff)

“So much for the Hollywood sell-off. The Los Angeles Rams upended the Seattle Seahawks 26-20 in an overtime thriller, climbing back to 4-4.

After Kenneth Walker III was stuffed on fourth-and-1 to start the extra period, Matthew Stafford connected with Demarcus Robinson for a 39-yard touchdown to end the game and seal an LA victory.

Two red-zone interceptions by Geno Smith plagued the Seattle offense, with rookie Kam Kinchens taking one 103 yards the other way for a paramount touchdown.

PFF’s dedicated team of graders was hard at work, analyzing every player on every play in real time. The grades and data will be available after a thorough review tomorrow at 12 p.m. EST.”
