The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills have released their inactive players lists for Week 9.
The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are closing in on their Week 9 kickoff. The game will start at 1 p.m. Eastern, about an hour and a half from now. According to league rules, both teams have to release an inactive players list 90 minutes before the game. The list often consists of injured players who cannot play in the game, along with depth pieces that are not part of that week’s game plan. Who is out for Miami and Buffalo this week?
The Dolphins ruled tight end Julian Hill, cornerback Kader Kohou, and defensive tackle Zach Sieler out of the game in the final injury update on Friday. Hill has a shoulder injury, Kohou a neck injury, and Sieler has an orbital bone fracture. All three landed on the inactive report as part of Miami’s move to get down to the league’s 48-man gameday roster limit.
Also on the inactive list is safety Jevón Holland, who was doubtful for the game on the injury report. Holland sustained a broken hand a couple of weeks ago, playing through it last week until a knee injury landed him on the sidelines. While the knee issue is not considered serious, it, along with the hand, will keep him out of today’s game.
Also inactive for Miami are running back Jeff Wilson, Jr., cornerback Storm Duck, and offensive lineman Andrew Meyer. Duck had been listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
Fullback Alec Ingold was also listed as questionable as he deals with a calf injury, but he was not included on the inactive list, indicating he will be able to play.
For the Bills, the headline is wide receiver Amari Cooper landing on the inactive list. Cooper was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report as he deals with a wrist injury, but he will not be able to play. Also inactive is fullback Reggie Gilliam, who was listed as out on Friday’s injury report as he deals with a hip injury.
Also inactive are safety Mike Edwards, cornerback Christian Benford, offensive lineman Will Clapp, and defensive end Zion Logue. Benford, like Cooper, had been questionable on the injury report with a wrist injury, but also will not be able to play on Sunday.
