Joe Burrow is going to be without a few weapons on Sunday.
The Cincinnati Bengals head into their Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Paycor Stadium with a 3-5 record and are winless in four games at home. Needless to say, things haven’t gone the way the Bengals hoped they would this season.
Now, hoping to win their first game in front of a home crowd, franchise quarterback Joe Burrow will be without a handful of weapons, including his left tackle, and a couple of surprises.
Inactive for the Bengals’ Week 9 game are:
- WR Tee Higgins
- LT Orlando Brown Jr.
- RB Zack Moss
- WR Jermaine Burton
- TE Tanner McLachlan
- DT Jay Tufele
- Charlie Jones
With Jones and Higgins out, it’s clear the Bengals coaches are unhappy with Burton to make him a healthy scratch. With the team’s No. 2 receiver out, and no wide receiver separating themselves from the pack, Burton had a chance to really set himself apart. It’s unfortunate it seems things have soured this much between the rookie and the team.
Cody Ford will take Brown’s place at left tackle, and will hopefully be ready for, and have help against, Maxx Crosby when he moves over to the right side of the defensive line.
For the Raiders, they’ll be without:
- C Andre James
- RB Dylan Laube
- CB Sam Webb
- S Trey Taylor
- DE Janarius Robinson
It’s clear the Bengals aren’t nearly as healthy as the Raiders at this point in the season, considering so many starters are out. Hopefully, they can overcome and get their first win of the season in front of their own fans.
