Left tackle Bernhard Raimann has been ruled OUT Sunday’s game against the Vikings due to a concussion. Raimann has not practiced all week due to the injury. With Raimann OUT this week there is an d spectating that rookie Matt Goncalves will make his debut in place of Raimann at left tackle. Goncalves did play predominantly right tackle in college and during the pre-season but he does have some experience on the left side. Goncalves will have his hands full with the Vikings defensive line in his first game.
Defensive end Kwity Paye has been listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday’s game against the Vikings with a hamstring injury. Paye is making his way back from a hamstring injury that occurred at practice Thursday and caused him to be limited in practice twice this week. If Paye is unable to play Sunday expect a starting defensive end duo of Laiatu Latu and Dayo Odeyingbo, whilst rotating in others too.
All others listed on the injury report go into the game without an injury designation for Sunday’s road trip to Minnesota. DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart had scheduled rest days. Whilst Josh Downs (toe), Michael Pittman (back), Braden Smith (knee) and Ryan Kelly (back) also go into the game injury designation free as deemed healthy enough to play the team’s first primetime game of the year.
