Asked that point-blank on Wednesday, Lawrence clarified what exactly has been making him frustrated.
“I’m more frustrated knowing that we can win and we aren’t winning,” Lawrence said. “I’m not frustrated being here as a player, it’s more of just knowing that we can win and we’re not winning. That’s the most frustrating part.”

Daniel Jones taking ‘heat’ for Giants teammate emphasizes how much Brian Daboll relationship has changed | New York Post
It was interesting that Daboll after the loss to the Steelers revealed it was a Jones mental gaffe that led to the strip sack. There are plenty of postgame sessions when Daboll will not get into specifics as to who messed up a particular play. Jones said he had no problem with this because the two discussed it before meeting with the media.

Daboll, at 17-24-1, is just two games worse than the great Hall of Famer Bill Parcells and ahead of Ray Perkins, who is largely credited with helping to modernize the Giants under general manager George Young after decades of ineptitude.

WR: Malik Nabers. Despite only playing six games, Malik Nabers ranks second among NFL receivers with 72 targets. He leads the NFL in “Open Score,” according to ESPN Analytics, and his yardage total (498) would be significantly higher if Daniel Jones was a league-average deep passer.
NB: Dru Phillips. Phillips was a tenacious heat-seeking missile at Kentucky, but poor tackling severely limited his impact. This year, he’s been an excellent tackler, and his tone-setting play style is finally resulting in production. Phillips makes the majority of his impact within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, erasing screens, checkdowns, and outside runs. At 187 pounds, he epitomizes “punching above your weight class” and has no issue escaping blocks.

Azeez Ojulari: Motivated by the moment, the future and ‘my little bro’ | The Record
BJ Ojulari, two years younger than Azeez, is out for the season after tearing his ACL this summer, and that perspective is something that drives Azeez to make the most of his chances.
“I know how bad he wants to be out there, and he can’t be out there,” Azeez told NorthJersey.com at his locker after Wednesday’s practice. “Every moment you get to play, every opportunity you get in this game, you never know when it’s going to get taken away. What happened to my brother, that gives me even more of a reason to take advantage of this, play the best I can for this team, for me and for him [B.J.].”

Bowen cited the second-year cornerback’s past response to adversity when asked why he was confident.
“He’s been locked in. Again, he’s a professional. It’s a professional football league. Being able to respond when adversity hits–that’s a big part of this game. You’ve seen it from him. I’ve seen that from him already, being able to respond, come back, play well in Seattle, came back when adversity had hit him a little bit. So, I think with all of them, just understanding being a pro and what that is and being ready to go and respond when adversity hits.”

The group features four Super Bowl-winning coaches and three who won multiple rings, headlines by Tom Coughlin won two titles with the Giants. Three other coaches with ties to the Giants—former head coaches—Bill Arnsparger, Dan Reeves, and Marty Schottenheimer, coached linebackers before being named defensive coordinator in 1977.

Just look at the eight teams currently ahead of the Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft order. Five of them likely will be in the mix for a quarterback — Panthers (first), Titans (second), Jets (fourth), Raiders (seventh), and Browns (eighth).
Then there are five more “maybe” teams, in terms of quarterback neediness — Saints (sixth), Rams (12th), Colts (14th), Seahawks (16th), and Steelers (27th). Obviously, all five of those teams won’t draft a quarterback in 2025. But some of them certainly could.
