Is progress being made after coaching switch?
Happy Halloween, you know what that means.
It’s been a year.
Halloween will always be a piece of Las Vegas Raiders’ history.
It was Halloween night last year when Raiders’ owner made a sudden and shocking decision to fire head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler after a 25-game tenure with the team.
McDaniels left the organization a day after losing at the Detroit Lions on “Monday Night Football.” The Raiders were 3-5 at the team and McDaniels went 9-16 overall with Las Vegas.
The Raiders promoted linebackers coach Antonio Pierce to interim coach, who finished the season 5-4. Backed by the roster, Pierce was promoted to the full-time coach by Davis, who didn’t search an extensive coaching search before making the hire.
The Raiders don’t seem to have the same juice under Pierce this year as they did last year. They make constant mistakes and have trailed by double digits in all eight of their games.
How do you feel about this team now as we hit the anniversary of McDaniels’ departure.
McDaniels was a mess and he needed to go, but are the Raiders in a better place 365 days later?
