Signs of growing Giants tension between Daniel Jones, Brian Daboll | New York Post
Do you detect growing friction between Daboll and Daniel Jones? There is no doubt there is growing frustration. Jones has never reacted so vehemently on the field as he did after the botched two-point conversion try with the Giants trailing 23-15 early in the fourth quarter. On this occasion, Jones was on it and his teammates were not and the play was blown up before it ever had a chance. It sure feels as if Jones knows his days as the starting quarterback are dwindling and that he can read the writing on the wall that he will be elsewhere in 2025. Daboll goes out of his way to defend Jones and not put all the blame on him and that almost feels as if he is overdoing it.
Daniel Jones’ future in doubt after quarterback fails to lift Giants once again | SNY.tv
Despite this being Year 3 in this offense and having more to work with (Nabers) than ever before, Jones appears to have regressed. His arm strength is nothing like early in his career. He routinely misses deep throws. Even his long shot to Slayton on the game’s first possession (a 43-yard gain) is likely a touchdown if he gets it out more. You pair that with the inaccuracies and poor decisions that have plagued his career and you get a deadbeat quarterback this team is going nowhere with.
Pittsburgh was forward in no other sense than the calendar. The Giants are stuck in reverse as long as they keep trotting Jones out as their signal caller.
A change is long overdue.
TE Theo Johnson with his biggest catch
One of my favorite throws I’ve seen from Daniel Jones since 2019. Attack the seam! Give you’re 6’5 TE a chance to elevate and make a play.
Theo Johnson has his best game on tape, by far, btw. Hoping to see him come along in the second half.#Giants pic.twitter.com/EGOJELvQNn— Dan Schneier (@DanSchneierNFL) October 29, 2024
Tyrone Tracy Jr. nominated for Rookie of the Week (again) | Giants.com
Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has once again been nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week. Going up against the Steelers’ top-ranked run defense, Tracy put together the best performance of his young career. The rookie running back carried the ball 20 times for 145 yards, good for an average of 7.2 yards per carry, and a touchdown while adding two receptions for five yards.

Adding another rotational edge player — just like GM John Lynch did last year at the deadline — could jumpstart the entire unit. Picking up another interior player, with Javon Hargrave out, also could be an option. Azeez Ojulari has been a sensation in the three weeks since Kayvon Thibodeaux went down with an injury. He’s generated six sacks on the season, five over the past three games, and his 14 percent pressure rate is excellent. The 24-year-old would pair well opposite Bosa and help keep Floyd fresh for the stretch run.

Four players Giants should look to deal at NFL trade deadline | New York Post
Devin Singletary was signed to a three-year, $16.5 million contract to be Barkley’s replacement because Schoen does not believe in overpaying running backs due to positional value. Well, now Schoen has a backup running back who is owed another $1.25 million this season and $3.5 million guaranteed next season.
Could the rival Giants and Cowboys, who partnered up when defensive tackle Jordan Phillips was sent to Dallas for a late-round pick in August, strike a second trade in three months?

Quinn wants to believe their performance against the Bear is just another step in the right direction, saying “we’ve been making…significant improvements in a lot of the spots.”
