Well, there’s a move
UPDATE: The terms of the trade have been made public.
- Minnesota Vikings receive: OT Cam Robinson, conditional 2026 seventh-round pick (can disappear based on playing time)
- Jacksonville Jaguars receive: Conditional 2026 fifth-round pick (can become a fourth-rounder based on playing time)
So, essentially, the Vikings are getting Robinson for nothing, or next to nothing. Tough to be angry about that.
In their loss to the Rams on Thursday Night Football in Week 8, the Minnesota Vikings took a huge hit to their offense when Christian Darrisaw went down with a season-ending knee injury.
On Tuesday, they got themselves a replacement.

Numerous sources, led by Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, are reporting that the Vikings are acquiring offensive tackle Cam Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for “draft pick compensation.” Given that the Vikings don’t have a lot of “draft pick compensation,” at least as it relates to the 2025 NFL Draft, it will be interesting to see exactly what that is.
Robinson was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round (#34 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Alabama, following a season where he won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top offensive lineman. He has played in 91 career games with the Jaguars, all of them starts. He was franchise tagged by the Jaguars in both 2021 and 2022, eventually agreeing to a three-year, $54 million extension. That means he’s in the last year of his current contract.
It appears that the Vikings are serious about their chances this year, or else they wouldn’t make a deal like this one. Robinson is about as good of a replacement as a team could hope for in the middle of the season, honestly.
While it’s unclear whether or not Robinson will be ready to go when the Vikings face the Colts on Sunday Night Football in a few days, he could make his purple debut against. . .the Jacksonville Jaguars, who the Vikings will travel to face in Week 10.
Pretty big news coming out of Eagan on this Tuesday night, folks. Once we have terms of the compensation, we will put an update on this story.
