This should be fun, especially if the Bengals season is still in the sewer at this point!
Make sure you sneak out of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, without getting caught by Mr. Burns, head to Moe’s for a drink, and get back home in time for kickoff on December 9 for the Cincinnati Bengals Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The NFL is partnering with ESPN and Disney to bring a game to The Simpson’s universe where Bart and the Bengals will face off against Homer and the Cowboys.
In addition to being broadcast as normal, Disney+ and ESPN+ will air a fully animated game in real time with the iconic characters we’ve all grown to love over the last several decades.
The game will take place at the Springfield Atom’s stadium, be complete with authentic voice actors, and feature pre-recorded voices of players and coaches from each team.
Sides have already been chosen as Bart is joined by Lisa, Krusty, Nelson, Milhouse and Ralph, while Homer will be joined by Carl, Barney, Lenny, and Moe, who are all apparently Cowboys fans.
So, if the season isn’t looking much better by early December, watching an animated version of the game might help sooth the heartbreak of a disappointing 2024 season.
