Perhaps the Giants can fabricate and win and help the Colts’ playoff hopes?
We close out Week 8 of NFL football with not a greatly exciting matchup on our hands, but football nonetheless as the Pittsburgh Steelers (- 275) host the Giants (+ 225). The Steelers open up as 6-point favourites, with the OU for points a measly 36.5.
The Steelers dominated the Jets last week, in what was an impressive all-around performance in Russell Wilson’s quarterback debut. The defense played lights out and kept the Jets’ offense quiet all game long, Wilson made plenty of throws, Pickens balled out, and even Najee Harris looked like an above-average quarterback. I don’t think anyone expected the Steelers to be 5-2 at this point, and they could very realistically be 6-2 after tonight.
The Giants were easily dismantled by the Eagles, on what was Saquon’s return to the Big Apple. Not even Malik Nabers could help what is now a team stuck in quarterback purgatory, as Daniel Jones just does not seem like a good NFL starting quarterback.
Overall, even though I hope that the Giants can pull off the upset, I just don’t see it happening, even more so with the Steelers playing at home.
