Former Browns LB Tony Fields II has joined the Rams practice squad
With Troy Reeder added to the injured reserve last week, the L.A. Rams signed veteran Tony Fields II to the practice squad on Monday. Fields brings four years of experience, having been a fifth round pick of the Browns in 2021 and starting 10 games for Cleveland in the last two years. Fields was injured in Week 1 and placed on IR, then the Browns waived him last week.
Fields had 88 tackles, one interception, and one tackle for loss with the Browns in 45 career games. He immediately joins a team that could elevate him from the practice squad for a game as soon as this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.

The only other active linebackers on the roster are Christian Rozeboom, Jacob Hummel, and undrafted rookie Omar Speights. The practice squad also has Elias Neal, who was released and brought back last week.
It’s clear that linebacker should be the Rams biggest need next year.
