Should Las Vegas make a quarterback switch
OK, Gardner Minshew wasn’t the reason why the Las Vegas Raiders lost their fourth straight game Sunday, to the Kansas City Chiefs, at home.
Minshew started the game hot, completing his first eight pass attempts and leading Las Vegas to 10 points in their first two drives. But, he did have a critical turnover in the fourth quarter (his NFL leading 11th turnover) in the Raiders’ 27-20 loss to the Chiefs.
Minshew, of course, began the season as the starter but was replaced by Aidan O’Connell in Week 6. O’Connell broke his thumb in Week 7 and can’t return from the injured reserve until Week 13 at Kansas City at the earliest.
The Raiders signed Desmond Ridder off of the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad last week.
Ridder, a third-round drat pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2022, has started 17 NFL games.
Do you think it’s time for the Raiders to give Ridder a chance to play and see what they have before O’Connell returns or does Minshew deserve to continue to play?
