2024 NFL Week 9: Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings
A prime time spot for the purple
The Minnesota Vikings will be getting the prime time spotlight this week, as the purple will host Sunday Night Football this week when they host the Indianapolis Colts.
The Vikings are currently sitting on a two-game losing streak after winning their first five games to start the season. They’ll also be dealing with the loss of all-world left tackle Christian Darrisaw, who injured his ACL and MCL in Thursday’s loss in Los Angeles and will be out for the remainder of the season. On the plus side, the Vikings will welcome back tight end T.J. Hockenson, who will make his first appearance since injuring his ACL and MCL last December.
The Colts are coming off of a tough 23-20 loss to Houston in Week 8, a game in which the play they received from second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson was largely disastrous, but the Colts still had an opportunity to win at the end of the game.
The last time these two teams played, NFL history was made. . .whether it was good or bad depends on which side of the matchup you’re on. The Colts took a 33-0 lead into the locker room at halftime when these teams met back on 2022, but the Vikings then mounted the greatest comeback in NFL regular season history, erasing the deficit to win by a score of 39-36 on Greg Joseph’s field goal in overtime.
Kickoff for this one is scheduled for 7:20 PM Central time on Sunday Night Football on NBC. We’ll be putting all of our coverage of this week’s game right here for your reading pleasure, so keep checking back for more stories.
