Week 8 Sunday Night Football: 49ers vs. Cowboys

Historical NFC matchup on our hands tonight

Matchup with an immense amount of history tonight as the injury-ravaged San Francisco 49ers (- 255) host the Dallas Cowboys (+ 210) in Levi’s Stadium. Even taking into account the insane amount of injuries the Niners have been dealing with on offense they are still 5.5-point favourites to win tonight, with the OU at 47.5-points.

The Niners lost to the Chiefs (again) last week, on a game where it never seemed like they had a chance to win. The injuries to their offensive playmakers was just too much for them to get any sort of traction against a talented Chiefs’ defense, and it was KC’s running, not passing, that decided the game surprisingly.

The Cowboys had a bye last week, but were absolutely demolished by the Lions the week before, on a game that was over as soon as it started. It seemed like the Lions were just toying with them at times. With their ego probably hurt, and with extra-time to prepare, I assume the Cowboys will be looking for a big win to get back on track.

Overall I like the Niners better as Dallas is just not a good football team right now, but I think the spread is a bit too harsh on them, especially considering they are coming off a bye-week.
