The eighth Sunday of the 2024 NFL regular season is nearly here! Let’s run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the Week 8 games.
EAGLES GAME
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Eagles will be 5-2 with a win. Go Birds.
NFC EAST
CHICAGO BEARS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: The Commanders currently lead the division at 5-2. The Eagles can move into first place if they win and Washington loses. Root for the Bears.
DALLAS COWBOYS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS: The Cowboys will drop to 3-4 with a loss to a team that’s consistently had their number for some time now. A Niners loss serves as a decent consolation prize. Root for the 49ers.
NEW YORK GIANTS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS: The Giants are 2-5 overall and 0-3 in division games. A win over an AFC team doesn’t do much except damage their draft positioning. Root for the Giants.
NFC PLAYOFF PICTURE
TENNESSEE TITANS at DETROIT LIONS: The Lions are the most intimidating team in the NFC. The Eagles shouldn’t want to see them get the No. 1 seed. Root for the Titans.
GREEN BAY PACKERS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: The Eagles should want neither the Packers nor the Lions to win the NFC North. It’d be best to see the Minnesota Vikings win that division instead. Root for the Jaguars.
ATLANTA FALCONS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: Considering how much the Eagles have struggled against the Bucs, Tampa is the bigger threat. Of these two teams, it’d be more preferable to see Atlanta win the NFC South. Root for the Falcons.
BUFFALO BILLS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS: The Eagles should prefer to see the Seahawks win the NFC West over the 49ers or Los Angeles Rams. Root for the Seahawks.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at HOUSTON TEXANS: The Eagles want to a non-Texans team win the AFC South since they own Houston’s fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Root for the Colts.

BALTIMORE RAVENS at CLEVELAND BROWNS: The Eagles want the Browns to stay ahead of the Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft order. Root for the Ravens.
