Bengals vs. Eagles Injury Report: Tee Higgins questionable after late-week injury

Bengals vs. Eagles Injury Report: Tee Higgins questionable after late-week injury

Tee, you good?

Friday’s injury report brought great news for all Cincinnati Bengals fans as the team wrapped up their final preparations for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee) was limited in practice all week but is good to go Sunday, per head coach Zac Taylor. If Brown wasn’t able to go, Cody Ford would have likely gotten the start. Against a tough Eagles defensive line, Brown in the lineup is a sigh of relief.

Shockingly, safety Geno Stone (shin) is also expected to play, per Taylor. Stone was carted off with an air cast on his leg in the Week 7 win against the Cleveland Browns. Many feared a season-ending injury for Stone, but he won’t even miss a game.

When speaking to the media Friday, Taylor said that he expects neither player to be limited, so we should see them both playing at full strength.

A concerning addition to the report is wide receiver Tee Higgins (quad). Higgins hasn’t appeared on the injury report until Friday, so something must have happened in practice. There is still a good chance Higgins plays, but a late addition to the report could be concerning. In Week 1, Higgins hurt his hamstring in practice late in the week before missing two games.

The Eagles will be down two starters this week as tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) missed practice all week. Defensive tackle Byron Young (hamstring) also missed a full week of practice and is out for this week’s contest.

Everyone else is good to go for the Eagles. It is worth reminding that standout left tackle Jordan Mailata is out this week after being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury last week. Former Bengal Fred Johnson will start in Mailata’s place this week.
