Linebacker Jayron Carlies missed practice today with lower leg and shoulder injuries. Carlies started his first game of his career this past Sunday but had to exit the game early due to the lower leg injury. He was seen earlier this week on crutches and in a boot. It is likely Carlies is week to week with the injury.
Wide receivers Josh Downs (toe) and Michael Pittman (back) missed practice today. They seem to be on a practice schedule of a rest day, followed by a limited practice followed by another rest day. It appears they are on a reduced practice schedule to help with injury management.
Center Ryan Kelly (calf) and Right Tackle Braden Smith (knee) missed practice today due to their injuries. Kelly and Smith appear to be in a similar practice schedule to Downs and Pittman to help with injury management.
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was limited at practice today with an ankle injury. The Colts opened Buckner’s 21 day return from injured reserve and he practice for the first time today in over a month. Buckner’s return is huge and would be a much needed boost fur a struggling defense.
Running back Jonathan Taylor was limited at practice today with an ankle injury. Taylor has been dealing with an ankle sprain which has caused him to miss multiple weeks of practice and games. Taylor’s return couldn’t come at a better time and is a huge boost for a team that is struggling not only to run the ball but also offensively as a whole.
