Both players have a shot to play vs. the Eagles.
As the Bengals prepare to host the Philadelphia Eagles, the biggest storyline for Cincinnati is the health of left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and safety Geno Stone.
Both players left Sunday’s win over the Cleveland Browns with lower-body injuries and did not return. Stone was actually put in an air cast, but that was more precautionary than anything, as he’s not expected to miss much time. Brown suffered a calf injury that wasn’t expected to sideline him long either, but both guys are big question marks for Week 8.
Thankfully, it appears there’s now a good chance Brown will play this week, as he was present for Wednesday’s practice.
Prior to practice, head coach Zac Taylor was mum on the status of Brown and Stone outside of calling them day-to-day. However, defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo said that Stone was able to go through a walkthrough.
The fact that Brown and Stone both got in some level of work on Wednesday is a good sign they’ll play this week. If nothing else, they shouldn’t miss more than this week’s game if the team chooses to play it safe and hold one or both out vs. Philadelphia.
It’s worth noting that Stone was not present for the official afternoon practice.
Zac Taylor says “we’ll see how much they can do” in regards to Geno Stone and Orlando Brown practicing this week.
DC Lou Anarumo told us Stone was on the field in walkthrough this morning.

An encouraging sign for Orlando Brown Jr. that he’s going through warmups and is in uniform #Bengals pic.twitter.com/S7Xi66Maev
