After enlisting Drew Rosenhaus’ help, the former Eagles edge rusher will finally report to the Jets for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Haason Reddick’s holdout is finally over. The New York Jets edge rusher will finally show up to his trade destination for the remainder of the 2024 season after he and the team agreed to a revised contract for the rest of this year.

This has been one of the longest holdouts we’ve seen in recent years, and as part of their revised deal, the Jets agreed to waive the over $12 million in fines that Reddick racked up for refusing to attend training camp, practices, or games.

Reddick had been rumored as a trade candidate over the past week or so, which would have impacted the Eagles and their original trade terms with the Jets. Reddick needs to record 10 sacks AND play at least 67.5% of his team’s defensive snaps in order to receive the Jets’ second-round pick in 2026 — if he doesn’t hit those metrics, which is now pretty likely with just 11 games remaining, the Eagles get their third-round pick instead.

The Jets still appear to be in a “win now” mentality after trading for Davante Adams earlier in the week, this despite firing their head coach almost two weeks ago.
