The Detroit Lions finally reversed the Madden curse.
In four first four weeks of Madden simulations, the exactly opposite of the simulation results happened in real life. In short, whoever won the Madden sim would end up losing in the actual game.
But last week, Madden predicted a fairly comfortable Lions win over the Dallas Cowboys, and we got a very comfortable win over the Cowboys. Here’s a look at each weekly result thus far:
Week 1:
- Madden: 24-20 Rams
- Actual: 26-20 (OT) Lions
Week 2:
- Madden: 31-24 Lions
- Actual: 20-16 Buccaneers
Week 3
- Madden: 42-17 Cardinals
- Actual: 20-13 Lions
Week 4:
- Madden: 31-26 Seahawks
- Actual: 42-29 Lions
Week 6:
- Madden: 31-28 Lions
- Actual: 47-9 Lions
If you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, every Saturday morning before a Sunday game, I simulate the Lions’ next upcoming matchup on a game of Madden 25. We adjust the lineups according to the projected injury reports, then just let the computer play the computer for the next 90 minutes. All the while, I’m providing live commentary, and answering the questions in our YouTube and Twitch chats.
