Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 10/19/24
Turf Show Times own Evan Craig already covered how the Los Angeles Rams stack up to other 1-4 teams around the league. For whatever it’s worth Rich Eisen said that he felt LA was the best one team in the league. Eisen goes on to say that it’s nothing to necessarily hang a banner about, but for being 1-4 there is still reason to believe that the Rams can turn it around if not this year, then perhaps the next.
Feel free to comment below. After LA’s bye week are you ready for some football? Have a great (and safe) Saturday and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game (usatoday.com)
“Now without Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) head back to the familiar territory of Southern California to face the Los Angeles Rams (1-4).
After weeks of reported frustrations, the three-time All-Pro wide receiver Adams is finally out of Las Vegas, leaving the Raiders without a star player. It comes at a time with the offense really struggling and losses in three of the last four games. Can the Raiders get a complete fresh start?”

The Rams still haven’t decided whether star receiver Cooper Kupp will return from injury Sunday (galvnews)
“McVay indicated the Rams will consider the impact of two games in five days on SoFi Stadium’s unforgiving artificial turf when determining Kupp’s availability. The Rams host the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
“He has been pretty outspoken in regards to the way that that turf feels, and it’s not the same as (a) grass surface,” McVay said. “I haven’t gotten into the specifics about that for him, but we do know that it’s this week, and then we’ve got a Thursday. Both of those games are at SoFi, and I think what’s really important for him is … he looks good when he’s running routes out here, but what does that feel like when you’ve got somebody leaning against you in a contact situation?”

Promising Los Angeles Rams News on Puka Nacua Injury Return Timeline (lafbnetwork)
“The Los Angeles Rams offense has been decimated by injuries this season, with the offensive line and receiving corps both dealing with critical losses. Fortunately, there’s more positive news regarding Rams receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua ahead of a Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Kupp got in a “limited” practice session on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for Sunday’s matchup against Las Vegas. As of now, the expectation is that Kupp will be listed as questionable on the final NFL injury report for Week 7 and be a true game-time decision.”
