The POD staff make their predictions for the Week 7 slate of games in the NFL.
And just like that, in the blink of an eye, the NFL schedule rolls into Week 7. Fret not, diehard fans! Here at Pride of Detroit, our staff have made their picks for not only Thursday night’s game, but the entire slate of Week 7 games.
After a slew of divisional matchups to start the season, football on Thursday night gets hit with a change of pace. This week, we get an interconference matchup: the Denver Broncos head south to take on the New Orleans Saints. The two will square off for the first time since the 2020 season on Amazon Prime for “Thursday Night Football” at 8:15 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, with the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys on a bye, the NFL has 12 games scheduled. The NFL London Games series continues this week with another matchup at 9:30 a.m. ET., this time from Wembley Stadium: the London Jacksonville Jaguars take on the New England Patriots, available on NFL Network. Sleeping in is a great alternative to watching this game, as is blowing leaves, taking out the trash, or going for a morning jog to take care of yourself.
Once you’ve got your morning off to a great start, the Detroit audience will have just one game in the early 1 p.m. ET. slot, and when it’s this game, there’s no reason to look elsewhere for football in the one o’clock window: the Minnesota Vikings, perfect record and all, will host the Detroit Lions in one helluva divisional matchup.
At 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS will be broadcasting the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Rams. At 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX will follow up with some heavy hitters: the Kansas City Chiefs travel west to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV—and most recently, LVIII. The primetime offering is a contest between the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football” for an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff on NBC/Peacock.
On Monday night, we’re back to getting a couple of games. Why? No one knows! “Monday Night Football” on ESPN/ABC has a great matchup in store between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:15 p.m. ET. Starting at 9 p.m. ET, ESPN+ has a matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals.
As we have done in past seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the NFL schedule. Each of the Pride of Detroit staff will pick the moneyline (winner of the game, no spread), but some of the members will also pick against the spread and even the over/under lines—there’s an easy toggle button in the widget below to cycle through the settings. You can also check out all of the odds for this week’s games courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Here is who our staff is picking on the moneyline, spread, and over/under for all 14 games on the NFL Week 7 schedule:
