Some notes
- As expected, the Chiefs had just one player (on their current 53-man roster) who did not practice on Wednesday: defensive end Mike Danna (pectoral strain). We have more on that here.
- Kansas City listed three more players on their injury report — running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness), wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee) and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps) — but they were full participants. All three players were on the injury report leading into the Week 5 game against the New Orleans Saints.
- Edwards-Helaire was added back to the active roster on Tuesday.
- The 49ers’ list is more extensive, as they list 14 players on their report.
- The players who did not practice due to injury are defensive tackle Maliek Collins (knee), wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hip) and kickers Jake Moody (right ankle) and Matthew Wright (shoulder/back). Anders Carlson, who appeared in 17 games with the Green Bay Packers, is the “next kicker up” should Moody and Wright not be able to go.
- Wide receiver Deebo Samuel (wrist), running back Jordan Mason (shoulder), safety Malik Mustapha (ankle) and defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (knee) were among those that were limited. Samuel, Mason and Mustapha were banged up in last Thursday night’s game, and Elliott missed San Francisco’s last game due to the injury. They are all players to watch.
