Bills at Jets: 5 storylines to watch for in Week 7
The Buffalo Bills will turn to the next page of their 2024 NFL regular season.
Following a 23-20 win over the New York Jets in Week 6, the Bills (4-2) will host the Tennessee Titans (2-4) at Highmark Stadium in their upcoming matchup.
But before we even get to kickoff, there will be a lot of Bills-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for during the lead up to Bills against the Titans:
Cooper, of course
(USAT)
The obvious: The Bills traded for Amari Cooper in a deal with the Cleveland Browns this week. How does he look in his debut? Will he pick up the offense quick enough?
Allen hits 100
(USAT)
Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be making his 100th start against the Titans. It’s a big moment for any player. Originally drafted by Buffalo at the 2018 NFL draft, teammates and coaches will be asked about this benchmark in his career. Naturally, Allen will too.
Force them into mistakes
(USAT)
On the flip side, the Bills defense will face a struggling offense with quarterback Will Levis under center. Tennessee is averages 135 passing yards per game, which ranks second worst in the NFL. The Titans were hopeful Levis would take a step forward in 2024… but that has not happened. Buffalo’s defense should make some game-changing plays in this one.
Injury updates
(Imagn)
Could there be some positive movement in the injury report for the Bills this week? Let’s wait and see. The Bills had wide receiver Khalil Shakir (ankle) in the lineup against the Jets but he seemed to be on the snap count. Running back James Cook (toe) and defensive tackle Ed Oliver (hamstring) remained out last week. Their returns would be welcomed.
Back at home

Their last game in Orchard Park was against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 23. That’s nearly a month away from home. It should be an tough atmosphere for the Titans as Bills Mafia will be overly excited to be back home.
